Handmade soaps

We are now able to sell our handmade soaps thru our website e-commerce pages.

Let me tell you why I make soap. I Love bath products!

Why should you purchase our soaps when there are so many other soapmakers with a good product. I can give you several reasons:  Every time you purchase our soap you become in partnership with our goal of continuing to keep this farm a fulltime working NH farm. Our situation is a rarity. Most farms have some sort of outside income to fall back on when crops fail or weather throws a nasty curve ball. We don't, however we do have our soap which we can sell all year to you here at the farm or anyone in the USA via our ecommerce pages.  We begin each custom batch of soap with herbal infusions.  This important step is lost in most soapmaking enterprises as it adds time and cost, however we believe the benefits to our skin make it worthwhile. As we stir each batch of soap we add pure essential oils, organic herbs and superfatting oils and butters that add an extra little bit of luxury.  Most soapmakers use many different types of fragrance oils to cut back on costs. We don't unless there is no alternative.  We have finely tuned each of our soap recipes so that each bar is an experience in itself, soothing  your senses and cleansing at the same time. These are our reasons why you should purchase our soap and I hope they convince you.

Do you know why handmade soap is so much more moisturizing than commercially manufactured soap?  It's glycerin. Glycerin is a by product within each batch. As we age our skin holds less oil within each pore and our skin begins to appear to become thinner and wrinkles occur. Glycerin refills the pores and keeps skin full of moisture.  Other oils such as jojoba, shea butter, avocado help maintian pore moisture also. That is why homemade soaps are so much better for our skin than commercial grade soaps. Commercial soapmakers add many extra fillers and synthetics and extract the glycerin from each batch thru various distillation processes.  I can not nor would I remove the glycerin from our soap as it is the best part of each bar.  The first time I used hand made soap I was amazed by how silky smooth it felt on my skin. That is the glycerin in action, protecting and moisturizing.

I have been making home made soap for 10 years.  The main recipe I use consists of several vegetable oils, organic herbs and pure essential oils.  Most of our soaps contain no animal products with the exception being our three varieties of goatsmilk soap.  This makes our pure vegetable based handmade soap marketable as Vegan soaps for those that refrain from using any animal products. At this time my soaps are cut into bars measuring 3" long by 1" wide. They fit nicely in your hand. I can cut my soap into larger bars if desired. Please contact us at warrenfarmnh.com for larger bars or whole soap logs.

Unlike most handmade soap enterprises, your purchase of soap from the Warren Farm helps support a full time working agricultural farm.  My husband is a full time farmer and grew up here on the farm. Years ago his parents, with their children's blessing, made the decision to protect all 244 acres of the farm.  The end result is that this farm and all the land may never be developed.  It must remain an intact parcel and used only for agriculture.

We use USPS Priority Mail (2-3 days).  We can fit 12 bars of soap into the box that costs only $5 no matter what it weighs.  Soap orders of more than 12 bars will be either placed in the $10box or two $5 boxes. If you prefer, for orders of 3 bars or less, email us and we can arrange payment thru my credit card machine here at the farm and we will ship it to you in a cushioned envelope to save you money; wfarm@hotmail.com
