Sauted Swiss Chard

Sauted Swiss Chard

1 bunch young tender chard about 1/2 lb cleaned and chopped

1 medium onion - chopped

1 tbs butter or olive oil

1 clove garlic crushed

1/4 cup feta cheese

Chop swiss chard - not necessary to remove stems if young and tender - just chop into smaller pieces.

Place oil/butter in pan and add onions, cook over medium heat unitl limp, add chard continue cooking until wilted.  Add the garlic and the feta cheese.  Just warm, remove from heat and serve.  Great as a side dish served with eggs or over pasta.

I was never a fan of swiss chard until my daughter, Katie came up with this combination - now it served almost daily at our house during the growing season.
