I've been thinking of a 2007 purchase local Holiday season. If I can make something or purchase some article from someone who did manufacture it within 100 miles of my home I will be aiding my local economy. If I don't have time to make jam or can soups or make an everlasting wreath there is always the holiday bazaars and various fund raising events to purchase my gifts. I would call this a sustainable holiday season.  I'll have to think about this some more.

I am happy to say that I purchased from local artisans and the Mustard Seed, or made all my gifts and did not go to the malls once for the 2007 holiday season. That is a big change for me.

I hope to repeat this.
