We have decided to open this coming Saturday for those waiting to purchase soap and/or maple syrup. We will thus be beginning our 2012 season. We will also have garlic from 2011. We expect to begin our fresh picked asparagus season possibly as soon as 4/28. We will also have a selection of Scott Young's nature prints. We continue to cut and sell firewood. We get $140.00 per cord, cut 16', split, and stacked here at the farm. We do not deliver. We look forward to 'catching up' with our customers.
Dorothy Warren (Dot), Randy's mom who passed away in 1989 was an avid sea shell, rock, and mineral collector. The collection has gone mostly unseen since 1989 and we are beginning to bring the collection to the farmstand. We are making a display of sea shells, rocks , and minerals for sale.

Our irrigation system comes in handy with weather like this. We hope it does not turn to a wet pattern, but a little rainfall would be good. Asparagus is breakong ground and will start in a week or so. Planting sugar snap peas , corn, lettuce and swiss chard. We still are cutting firewood to produce income.
We have begun plowing ground and will begin planting sugar snap peas, christmas trees and possibly sweet corn soon. Tomato plants are started and growing in the hoop house. We are continuing to cut firewood and work on the early successional wildlife area. Our plethora of birds are active and herald spring weather. Garlic is up and about to break through the mulch cover. Its a great time of year. We are open by appointment for garlic, handmade herbal soap and maple syrup.
The winter has been excellent for outside work. Cutting firewood has been the predominant work. During February we will be starting to create additional wildlife openings. Our past work on wildlife habitat has been very successful and we hope this work will lead to more diversity and volumn of wildlife. We continue to be open by appointment for handmade herbal soap, maple syrup, garlic, and Scott Young's nature prints. We will be starting our first tomato plants for 2012 soon.
Many thanks to all our customers in 2011 and we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Great 2012. As we begin our winter work and begin cutting firewood we would like to remind our customers that we are open by appointment throughout the winter. If you would like to purchase soap, garlic, maple syrup or Scott Young's nature prints, please contact us for a mutually agreeable time. We check the phone and the emails when we come in for breaks.
As we wind down a pleasant and successful Christmas Tree Season, we remain open today 9-4:30 for the last shopping day before Christmas. For those who have not yet purchased a Christmas Tree, our patches are open. The selection is thinner, as it should be this late in the season, but is better than it has been in years. Almost all customers are finding a tree suitable to them. We have Balsam Fir, Blue Spruce and Concolor Fir available up to 7', and a few taller but are still in the patch due to their quality. Our Cut Your Own price is $40.00 any tree. We have a small selection of our own pre-cut trees that range in price from $10 to $35. These are blue spruce. I encourage our customers to take a look to see if we have the right tree for them. If we do not have that right tree we can suggest other local farms. There is a small selection of our fresh made fir and also Blue spruce wreaths. The shop has many packs of soap ends and other handmade soaps. We have our garlic and maple syrup and potatoes from local farms. Scott Young's nature prints have delighted us and our customers with their quality and unusual views into the world of often unseen birds, carniverous plants, turtles and more. They are in the wreath shop(Scott's Gallery) and are still available for viewing and purchasing. The prints are in various sizes and are framed, unframed and on gift cards. Prices range from $6- $100.
