New Farm Hours this week

Posted 9/25/2007 9:14pm by Randy Warren.

The farm hours are Tues - Fri 9-5, Sat and Sun 9-4, closed Monday. The PYO tomato patch still has an abundant supply of main season red and green varieties. The price for PYO  is  $1.00/lb  red or green.  This year the patch has approx 800 tomato plants with 13 varieties including heirloom and plum varieties.  We expect to have tomatoes into Oct if we don't have a hard freeze.  Green beans are still producing and available for picking. The farmstand is stocked daily with a variety of vegetables including  tomatoes, various lettuces, peppers, kale, Baby Swiss chard, summer squash, traditional and eight ball Zucchini. Cucumbers are all done for the season. Will soon be picking on fall broccoli.  Winter squash is going fast with only 2 varieties left,  Buttercup, and Delicata, with cooking tips and recipes. Fall pumpkins and gourds are coloring up.  We have a small supply of Speckled Swan gourds available. Our fall seedlings of broccoli, spinach, lettuces, swiss chard and kale have been planted. The fall raspberries did not overwinter in good health and we won't have them this year.  We no longer have PYO grapes.  Our handmade herbal soaps are sold at the farm stand year round.  My latest favorite is a nice dark Coffee mint.  Call the farm phone @ 868-2001 anytime for updates or check here.
